Senang Eco Recognized as Top Finalist at UN Tourism Challenge

At Senang Eco, every step forward reflects our dedication and passion for sustainable innovation. We are proud to announce that we were recently named a finalist in the Sustainability Impact category at the UN Tourism Challenge in Spain. This recognition is a humbling achievement that lifts our spirits and brings global acknowledgment from the esteemed UN Tourism. It both inspires and motivates us as we continue on this journey.
In just six months of operation, this achievement stands out as a meaningful milestone. Out of 120 startups from nearly 70 countries, Senang Eco emerged among the top five finalists. Our focus on pioneering tourism technologies and sustainable solutions remains at the heart of everything we do, aligning closely with our core values.
The event, held on February 19 to 20, 2024, was more than a competition. It was an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow alongside inspiring peers and industry leaders. We’re grateful to everyone who made the experience memorable: the participants, the jury, and the speakers including Kuzey Alexander Esener from TUI, Agnes Pierce from Amadeus, Theo Bortoluzzi from Kerten Hospitality, Elena Ruiz García from NH Hotel Group, Amber Westerborg from The Social Hub, Juan Chamarro Romeu from Amadeus Ventures, Coqui García Román, PhD from Atlantis Technology, and UN Tourism team Peter Janech, Sofia Vargas Sourdis, and Glenn Cauwenberghs.
We also want to recognize the other incredible finalists: Hotels for Trees, Effiwaste, Purple Elephant Ventures, Schulering s.r.o., everhost.io, SparkleHaze, Ostelflow. Each contributes unique ideas to the future of sustainable hospitality.
