In collaboration with Divers Clean Action, we are proud to support the Mapping, Compilation, and Validation (MCV) of PHINLA’s sustainability initiatives, focusing on their impactful Waste Banks, Community Voice and Action, ASKA, and Community Education programs.

Our team conducted site visits to selected waste bank locations in Jakarta, engaging directly with community members, program clients, and local stakeholders. This hands-on approach allowed us to assess the effectiveness, scalability, and financial sustainability of PHINLA’s best practices.

Beyond the numbers, we uncovered powerful social outcomes: increased community bonding, improved neighborhood safety, and strengthened local ownership of waste management. For example, residents shared how waste banks have transformed social connections, while local leaders noted a significant drop in theft due to better waste sorting and control.

By compiling and validating these valuable insights, we’re helping PHINLA document their successes and lessons learned, empowering them to scale their positive impact across more communities.
